About Our Beef

What does “grain-finished” mean and why does it taste better?

Our cattle graze on pasture their whole lives, then spend their final weeks on a grain diet. That finishing period builds the marbling — the fine streaks of fat — that makes beef tender and flavorful. It’s the difference between a steakhouse steak and a grocery store steak. That’s what you’re getting.


Are your cattle raised with hormones or antibiotics?

No hormones. No antibiotics. Ever. Our cattle are raised on open pasture with quality feed and proper care — nothing added, nothing hidden.


Where exactly is your farm located?

We’re in Platte Township, Benzie County — about 15 miles from Traverse City. Our beef is processed at RRR Meats, a USDA-inspected facility in Buckley, MI. We love having visitors — email us at sales@fowlervalleycattlecompany.com to schedule a time to come see the farm.


Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?

Absolutely. If anything about your order isn’t right, contact us within 30 days and we’ll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no questions asked. We’re a family business and we stand behind every pound we ship.


Is there a way to save more or refer a friend?

Two ways to save: subscribe and take 10% off every box automatically. Or refer a friend — when they place their first order, you both get $20 in store credit. Good beef tastes even better when it saves you money.


Ordering & Delivery

How is the beef shipped?

All nationwide orders are carefully packed with dry ice in insulated boxes to ensure your beef arrives frozen and ready for your freezer. We ship using overnight or 2-day delivery for maximum freshness.


Do you offer local delivery?

Yes — we offer local delivery every Friday in Benzie, Leelanau, and Grand Traverse Counties. Visit our Local Delivery page for full details.


How long will the beef stay frozen during shipping?

Our packaging is designed to keep your beef frozen for 24–48 hours in transit. If your order arrives slightly thawed but still cold (below 40°F), it is safe to refreeze or cook immediately.


Can I track my order?

Yes — once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your delivery in real time.

Do you offer subscriptions?
